Fawn Lake is an intimate destination with fan-favorite grotto areas down a nearly hidden trail by the beautiful gazebo. It’s a short, easy walk from the Fawn Lake access area. During the summer months, the lake echoes with the sounds of splashing and laughter.

Enormous boulders sprinkle the wooded terrain like something out of a Tolkien novel, eventually leading you to the Wintergreen Falls. Unlike its Little River cousins, the Grassy Creek formed the Wintergreen Falls. You’ll also notice it’s devoid of crazy crowds that dominate that main waterfall corridor.
