4 years ago the good folks at Ingles had a vision. It was the height of the pandemic. Local businesses were struggling. And all of us were fighting an extreme case of cabin fever. In an effort to support our local communities and share some fun and interesting things we could safely get out and go do, The Ingles Open Road was born.
Over the years our trips have taken us from the Natural Bridge in Virginia… to Ocmulgee Mounds in Macon, Georgia. From Folly Beach in Charleston… to Vulcan Park in Birmingham. We’ve danced…we’ve blacksmithed… we’ve got spit in the face by llamas… it’s been a little bit of everything…all on our way to discovering the heart and soul of what we have come to know as Ingles country.
With today’s show we’re celebrating our 200th episode. So, we thought this would be a good time to take a pause and look back at some of the fun and crazy adventures we’ve taken together… one that we’ve traveled all sorts of ways.
While we have traveled our varied modes of transportation all over Ingles country, we made a lot of friends along the way – and not just people. We met a whole host of furry, fishy, and feathered friends as well.
So, while elements of the Ingles Open Road may look relaxing and most certainly enjoyable – it takes a finely tuned athlete to pull off these feats of fitness. We’ll have you know, Chris Bainbridge does all his own stunts.
And of course no episode of the Ingles Open Road is complete without lots and lots of food.
The Ingles Open Road is a gift from Ingles to all of us – helping our communities by encouraging us to get out and explore and experience life together.
