We’re hanging out at a local gem for live music in one of the cutest towns North Carolina has to offer. If you’re ready for a toe-tapping good time with the friendliest folks you’ll find anywhere, then we have just the place for you.
Welcome to The Reeves Theater and Cafe – a home for music in the heart of the foothills. Located in downtown Elkin, North Carolina, The Reeves has been welcoming patrons since 1941. It’s changed a lot over the years – for decades it was a movie theater. And today it’s a beautifully restored destination for music lovers to take in a show, enjoy great food and drink, and connect with community.
And that’s what’s happening here tonight. Throughout the year The Reeves will hold over 70 free music events. This evening it’s the Luke Mears and friends country and blues jam.
This is a fantastic place to belly up to the bar, get a great craft beverage, some delicious local food, and enjoy some amazing music. The cafe here in the lobby and outside is a fun environment to connect with other music lovers all here to enjoy a night on the town.
And what a town it is. Elkin is a great destination in the heart of North Carolina’s wine country. There are awesome restaurants like Southern on Main and The Wisdom Table, fun outdoor hangouts like The Railyard, and some really great shops to check out as well. And The Reeves has been at the heart of it all for over 8 decades.
You can feel that heartbeat when the main stage is rocking. In addition to big-name touring artists, The Reeves is proud to offer local acts and live music pretty much every night they’re open. The Reeves House Band frequently rolls out amazing tributes to some of your all time favorites that will have you singing and dancing right along.
Here in the main auditorium they have standing room down front for those who want to dance along with the show, theatre style seating in the middle, and these great box seats to hang out with your friends.
The Reeves is a wonderful destination for an evening of good food, great music, and a terrific time. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth a drive to Elkin.
