Episode 64: Alpaca Treehouse

Alpaca Treehouse Atlanta, the dream of Kara and Kate, was initially called a “she shed,” a place to entertain friends, drink wine, and hang out. But treehouses have a way of bringing people together. Like Bainbridge and his brother, you probably built your first treehouse when you were in grade school. You probably used a few nails, a little rope, and childhood dreams to hold it together, and it was awesome. It was your sanctuary, a pirate ship, a castle, a frontier fort, or simply an adventure in a tree. Then one day, it came crashing down with half the neighborhood kids in it, and mom and dad helped you build a new one that was more structurally sound.
Well, the Alpaca Treehouse Atlanta is no mere treehouse. It’s a house in a tree, and it’s magical. Nestled in a bamboo forest and sparkling with whimsy, the Alpaca Treehouse is next level. The Llama/Alpaca Experience gives you a short walk around the property and an hour-long tour of this magical urban oasis. You can get personal with the rescued Fuzz Krew of llamas and alpacas and learn more about their rescue stories. At the end of the tour, you can feed the llamas and alpacas baby carrots and take photos.
If you’re in the mood to try something different, check out llama yoga, held in the gorgeous, reclaimed Bamboo Barn. Llama yoga is taught by expert instructors and supervised by these four-legged furry friends, like Figgy and sometimes Queen Dali Llama or little Llyra.
